The complex is the first to have a biogas digester in Zimbabwe. The Biogas digester utilises methanogen bacteria, similar to those in cow stomachs to break down organic waste, thus creating clean gas and bio-fertilizer.
The clean gas will then be distributed to the units in the complex, resulting in massive energy savings whilst being environmentally friendly.
